OUTLAW OPEN JAM w/FAITH JONES

ROCK MUSIC, Original Music Showcase

California born and raised Faith Jones is from the Simi, Santa Clarita and Antelope Valleys. At age 20, Faith saw an L.A. Times want ad for dancers. It was a little bikini bar on the seedy east side of Hollywood called Jumbo’s Clown Room. After working there a year or so she noticed a new girl named Kelly that later became Courtney Love. Faith recorded a CD with a producer she hired with her dancing money, it took about 5 years to finish. But she wanted to have something else to fall back on after her dancing days came to an end. She and some of the other girls at Jumbos would also dance to her own CD in the juke box. Someone came in and asked the bartender about the blues song that was playing. It was Faith’s song called ‘A Man’ and the guy put almost the whole song in a movie called ‘Taillights Fade.’ It starred Denise Richards, Jake Busey, Brecken Myer and Elizabeth Berkeley. KLOS played one of her songs on their local licks program. One night the now famous Courtney Love asked Faith if she would be in her music video for the song called Violet. Faith also got a dance choreographer credit (Cool!) just for street cred (she laughs.) Lucky Strike billed The Faith Jones Band as Sunset Strip Staples, that was cool (she smiles…)
